Independent Freight Broker Agent- Remote

Overview

We are seeking experienced Independent Freight Broker Agents to work under our authority. This remote, commission-only role is ideal for freight professionals with shipper contacts and industry experience looking for the freedom to operate independently with back-office support.

Duties

• Solicit freight from shippers and manufacturers
• Coordinate with carriers and negotiate competitive rates
• Manage freight movements from origin to delivery
• Ensure smooth communication between shipper, carrier, and broker
• Enter load details into our TMS (provided)
• Maintain documentation and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales roles.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software (such as Salesforce), EDI platforms, AS400 systems, and dispatching tools.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while maintaining positive relationships.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding concepts including 3PL services, NVOCC operations, carrier sales, and logistics planning.
• Ability to manage accounts efficiently through CRM software and data entry accuracy.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations related to transportation if applicable to specific freight types.
• Experience in B2B sales environments with a focus on logistics or freight services.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $56,631.57 - $150,000.00 per year
