Job Summary

A+ Tutoring is hiring a Fully Remote Elementary Math & Reading Tutor to provide engaging online instruction to K–5 learners. This role supports a wide range of learners—from gifted to intervention-level, including students who need phonics instruction, reading intervention, Common Core math support, and general homework help.

Responsibilities

• Deliver online, one-on-one tutoring sessions in elementary math and reading.
• Support early literacy skills, including phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension.
• Teach foundational math skills such as number sense, operations, and problem-solving.
• Adapt instruction using personalized learning and differentiated instruction techniques.
• Align lessons with state standards and/or charter school expectations.
• Communicate professionally with families and internal staff to support learner success.
• Submit detailed lesson notes after each session summarizing progress and next steps.
• Maintain high engagement using effective virtual instruction strategies.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Experience tutoring or teaching elementary-age students (K–5).
• Ability to support a wide variety of learners—from gifted to intervention-level.
• Strong knowledge of early literacy, reading support, and Common Core math.
• Reliable technology suitable for a remote tutor (laptop, camera/mic, stable internet).

Preferred

• Teaching credential (Multiple Subject or equivalent).
• Experience working with charter school or homeschool families.
• Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms.

Schedule

• Flexible: 2–20 hours per week
• All lessons are 60 minutes
• Ideal for educators seeking work-from-home tutoring jobs or after-school tutoring opportunities

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 40 per week
