[Remote] Business Development Manager - EdTech (Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UP Talent Group is partnering with an early-stage company dedicated to transforming K-8 education, which is a national leader in technology-enabled STEAM education. They are seeking dynamic Business Development Managers to expand outreach and drive new business initiatives in the K-8 STEM/STEAM education market.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the K-8 STEM/STEAM education market, including schools, districts, and educational organizations
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve annual sales targets
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and create compelling value propositions for potential clients
- Cold outreach, build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the education sector, including school administrators, educators, and policymakers
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential challenges in primary and lower-secondary education
- Prepare and deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations of our products and solutions to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with new partners and clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company
- Track and analyze business development metrics and report on progress to the leadership team
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development and sales within the EdTech or K-8 education sector
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (quotes of $500,000 and higher) and developing successful business strategies
- Strong understanding of the K-8 education landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Specifically focuses on the Western regions of the US
- Willing and flexible to travel on an as-needed basis
- STEM/STEAM sales experience
- Experience working for early-stage or start-ups
- Experience with data analysis tools
